Hello! My name is Volodymyr Slakva. I am a Ukrainian classical pianist, piano teacher and concert performer currently based in Sweden.
I have many years of experience teaching students of different ages and levels, both in person and online. My students live in Sweden and in many other countries around the world.
If you live in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö or anywhere else in Sweden, you can study piano with me online from your home. In-person lessons in Gothenburg may also be available by arrangement.

Who are the lessons for?
I work with both adults and children, from beginners to advanced pianists.
Lessons can focus on:
• piano technique and freedom of movement
• musical interpretation and expression
• sound and touch
• sight-reading
• learning and memorising repertoire
• preparation for concerts, examinations and competitions
• overcoming technical difficulties and tension
• building an effective and structured practice routine
Every student is different, so the lesson programme is adapted to your level, goals and repertoire.
My approach to piano teaching
I graduated from the conservatory in Kyiv in 2007 and have been teaching piano for many years.
At the same time, I continue to perform regularly as a classical pianist. I have more than 20 years of concert experience in Ukraine, Sweden and other countries.
For me, piano lessons are not only about playing the correct notes.
Technique should help us play freely, listen carefully to ourselves and express the musical idea. During lessons, we work not only on technical problems but also on sound, phrasing, structure, musical thinking and confidence at the instrument.

The schedule is flexible, and we can choose a lesson time that works for both of us.

30 minutes — €60
45 minutes — €90
60 minutes — €120
Package of 8 lessons
30 minutes — €50 per lesson
8 lessons: €400
45 minutes — €75 per lesson
8 lessons: €600
60 minutes — €90 per lesson
8 lessons: €720
The package is paid in advance and includes at least one lesson per week. Booked lessons cannot be postponed or saved for later.
Online piano lessons
Online lessons work well for students who want regular individual guidance but do not live nearby.
During a lesson, we can work in detail on technique, repertoire, interpretation and practice methods. You can also send me recordings between lessons when necessary, so that we can analyse specific problems and make the next lesson even more productive.
All you need is a piano or digital piano, a stable internet connection and a phone, tablet or computer.
Piano lessons in Gothenburg
If you live in Gothenburg, in-person lessons may also be possible by arrangement.
For students in Stockholm, Malmö and other cities, I currently offer individual lessons online.
